HORton Iron works divisions

Horton Iron Works L.L.C. is a subsidiary of Horton Industries, Inc., Corporate office and holding company for six manufacturing/sales facilities based in Eatonton, Georgia. H.I.W. is made up of 4 primary divisions. In each division we employ R and D Engineering Development Capabilities.

 

Divisions:

  1. Welding/Frame Assembly
  2. Tire and Axle Recycling and Manufacturing
  3. Structural Processing
  4. Fabrication Division (includes Complete Tool and Die and Engineering Department and formed parts)

 

Weld/Frame Assembly Division
The Frame assembly plant has been in operation under the Horton Iron Works name since October, 1995 and services Horton Homes Inc. with all of their chassis requirements. Also selling chassis and producing welded assemblies for other manufacturers.

  • Chassis design and production.
  • Production of pre-assemblies and full assemblies.
  • Production welding.
  • Painting.

 

Tire and Axle Manufacturing and Recycling Division
The Tire and Axle facility has been in operation since February, 1996 and services the frame assembly facility with its requirements as well as selling products to additional manufacturers.

  • Axle Manufacturing/Re-manufacturing Division
  • New 6000# mobile home axles.
  • Recycled 6000# mobile home axles.
  • Hitch/utility trailer accessory products.

 

Structural Steel Processing Division
Newest addition to our company, designed to handle mill lengths of a variety of structural steel. These materials are processed in bundled quantities to customer specifications.

  • 2-automatic horizontal band saws.
  • 16” x 20” capacity.
  • Cut to length, notching and bending of structural members.

 

 

 

Fabrication Division
Our metal fabrication division is housed in a 45,000 ft facility containing $2.1 million of state of the art equipment. Finished inventory for many customers is warehoused for J.I.T. deliveries. This facility is capable of producing 145,000 lbs. of finished parts per day. Currently 1/2 of this capacity is realized.

  • Up to 300 ton cap. On press brakes and punch presses.
  • ½” capacity laser burning.
  • 1/4” shears.
  • Roll Forming
  • 20’ bed length brake press.
  • Cut to length line.

Complete Tool and Die and Engineering Department

  • Wire E.D.M. Machining.
  • CAD/CAM design abilities.
  • Customer & company owned tooling.
  • C.A.M. Assisted machining.
